SDM-2019
6th International Conference on Sustainable Design and Manufacturing

SDM19 recently took place in Budapest, Hungary organised by KES International.

SDM-2019 will consisted of keynote talks, oral presentations, invited sessions and workshops. It covered the theory and applications of sustainable design and manufacturing, and related areas, whilst providing an excellent platform for the presentation and discussion of new data and concepts, leading to knowledge exchange and the generation of new ideas.

The conference proceedings will be published by Springer as book chapters in a volume of the KES Smart Innovation Systems and Technologies series, submitted for indexing in Scopus and Thomson-Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI) and the Web of Science.

SDM-19 took place at the same time and in the same hotel as Sustainability in Energy and Buildings, SEB-19.

The Best Research paper was awarded to the paper 'Sustainable biodesign innovation: Integrating Designers, Engineers, and Biscientists', presented by the author Dr Christina Cogdell.

The Best Student Research paper was awarded to the paper 'Internet of things solution for non-invasive vital data acquisition: A step towards Smart Healthcare Systems', presented by Mahmoud Salem, co-authors, Islam El-Maddah, Hoda Mohamed, Khaled Youssef.
